PS 300 M1: THE SUPERB “SMALL SEEDERS”

The PS 300 M1 is an excellent implement for farmers with large surfaces as well as for contractors. The seeder is ideal for combined use on different soil tillage implements.

The seeds are fed from the seed hopper via the electrically controlled seeding shaft into the air duct. The seeds are conveyed by air support through plastic hoses to the dispersion plates, and then evenly distributed close to the soil. This enables precise seeding even in windy conditions!

Which is the right pneumatic seeder for me?

Selection of the right hose length

Good spreading results depend on the hose lengths and proper hose laying. On hydraulic fans, connect the longest seed hoses starting on the gearbox motor side.

Selection of the right fan

Calculate the spread rate per minute and using this value, find out whether you need a Pneumatic Seeder with an electric, electric PLUS or hydraulic fan.¹

Example

The Johnson family wants to spread 45 kg/ha of a cover crop mixture at a speed of 10 km/h, the Pneumatic Seeder will be mounted on a 6 m cultivator.

With this result, the Johnson family could purchase a PS of the versions 200–500 with electric fan PLUS or hydraulic fan. The Johnson family does not have a pressureless return on their tractor. Therefore, the hydraulic fan is not possible. For this reason, the Johnson family chooses from the versions PS 200–500 with electric fan PLUS.

5.2 Controller

The Control Box 5.2 is the most popular version of the APV Control Boxes; it handles an extensive range of functions. For example, functions such as adapting spread rate to travel speed, automatic shut-off on headlands, precise adjustability of the electrical fan, or automatic execution of the calibration test, massively facilitate your work.

Isobus Controller

All Pneumatic Seeders from APV can be controlled via the tractor‘s own terminal using the ISOBUS function. Only one ISOBUS connection needs to be available on the tractor. This enables even more professional operation and efficient use of the PS. You do not need an additional monitor in the cab and thus have a better overview. There is only one cable from the seeder to the tractor. The Section-Control enables automatic seeding wave shut-off depending on the GPS position. You can name your seed individually in the seed library. All functions of the Control Box 6.2 are available to you.
